Amira Barakat
In 2015, Amira set a New Year's resolution to take pole-dancing classes after being captivated by a video she stumbled upon online. Though it took her until the end of 2015 to get started, she immediately fell in love with everything pole dancing offered: the strength-building, the creativity, the dance and flow, and especially the sense of community and camaraderie. Recently, she completed her Intro to Pole Teachers training at Elite Pole & Fitness and is currently pursuing her Level 1-2 training certifications.
Amira Barakat instructs the following:
-
Intro to Pole (First Level - 1 per pole)
This is our foundational level and is designed for brand newbies and beginner-level polers. We will work on all the basics to build strength for the next level up, and the coordination needed to take our choreography-based classes (called Pole Flow). You will learn basic pole spins, pivot turns, climbs, and sits.
This class is one per pole. Which is great for students who want a smaller more intimate class & more time to work on tricks.
When is it time to level up?
When you can do a fireman spin and back-hook spin, can easily get into a pole sit, have a strong basic climb to the ceiling, and can climb into a sit. You should be able to tuck with both feet off the floor. Instructor approval is required to move up to Level 1.

Open Pole (No Instruction)
This class period is dedicated to practicing your skills. An instructor will be available to help warm you up, give you pointers, and spot during practice hours. Other than the warm-up, this is a self guided class with no instruction. All levels welcome (all students must take at least one Intro to Pole before attending any all levels class).
