Pole Level 2

This class is taught by:

Taylor S

Taylor (she/they) took her first Intro to Pole class in January 2020 and hasn’t looked back. While her fitness journey included childhood dance classes, completing two half marathons, and weight lifting, nothing made her feel as graceful and strong as pole dancing. She was invited to complete the Intro to Pole Teacher Training program at Elite in 2023 and is currently working on completing the Pole Level 1-2 Teacher Training. Taylor’s goal as an instructor is to ensure every student feels welcome and can confidently express themselves through pole dance. When she is not at the studio, she is at the gym or home with her two cats.

Jackie Sherman

Jackie took her first pole class in January of 2017 and fell in love. While her dance background dates back to toddlerhood, no other style connected with her at the same level or felt more viscerally rewarding than pole. She was hooked. Almost immediately, she threw herself into classes, taking as many as possible and cross-training with yoga and weightlifting. Jackie took a huge leap in 2018 and participated in her first ever competition (PSO Northeast) and placed second in her division. In 2019, Jackie was invited to join the Elite Teacher Training Program, an extensive teaching and assisting program offered here at Elite. Her goal is to share the strength, empowerment, and joy she has found through pole with all of her students and peers.

Kayla Brunson

Kayla’s pole journey began in 2019, when she convinced a coworker to take an intro class with her at Elite. She was instantly captivated by the artistry and athleticism of pole and knew she belonged in the studio.

Known for her fearless approach, her dynamic style emphasizes flips, power spins, and strength-based maneuvers that showcase her daredevil spirit and love for aerial arts.

Kayla’s journey took a pivotal turn when her first performance in Elite’s 2023 student showcase sparked a deep passion for performing and inspired her to compete in PSO’s Northeast competition that same year. She took home second place in level 4 championship and went on to win first place at PSO’s Atlantic competition the following year.

Kayla hopes to introduce students to the exhilarating world of pole, and inspire them push their boundaries by trusting in their own strength and ability.

Mackenzie A

Mackenzie began dancing at 3 years old and hasn't stopped since. Attending a performing arts high school as a dance major only strengthened her love of dance and she decided to further her education at Georgian Court University. Mackenzie graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning her a BA in dance with honors in choreography and overall performance. Professionally, Mackenzie teaches dance, group fitness classes, and is a NASM certified personal trainer. She also performs in a Philadelphia based modern dance company, which travels to major cities along the east coast, and internationally. In December of 2017 Mackenzie discovered her love of Pole! It only took one class at Elite for her to realize this was a place that she could build confidence and strength, and where she could express herself through a new, yet also familiar movement vocabulary.
Invited to join the Elite Teacher Training program, Mackenzie jumped at the opportunity to share her love of movement through pole. She hopes to inspire others to find their passion for movement and can't wait to share her knowledge and unique movement style with everyone.

Amie A.

Amie Archut (Head Instructor) is a trained and seasoned dance professional whose passion for dance is evident in everything she does, from teaching to performing. While living in Miami, Amie discovered the art of Pole Dancing. She began training in pole in 2011 and brings her technical dance background into everything she does. It was also while in Miami that Amie took her first yoga class in 2007 and instantly fell in love. After moving back to Bucks County, PA Amie decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a certified yoga instructor. Amie completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training program in the summer of 2014. Along with her yoga certification she is also a Reiki level II practitioner and incorporates this beautiful healing technique into all of her classes. Amie hasn't wasted any time in putting her degree in Education to use, as she has taught a variety of classes including Salsa, Zumba, Yoga and Pole fitness. In 2014 Amie achieved her greatest accomplishment yet, becoming the owner of Elite Pole Fitness. Amie has put her heart and soul into becoming the best teacher and leader she can possibly be, and is constantly striving to learn more about Pole, Yoga, and business. Her drive, ambition, and passion is evident in everything she does.

Jenn Poland

Jenn discovered pole in 2011 and along with it, her passion and love for aerials and movement. Intertwining strength, grace, fluidity and embodiment, pole & movement became a life-long journey of learning, exploration and discovery. Jenn is so grateful for the opportunity to share and be a part of igniting this practice with others since 2014. When Jenn is not dancing, you’ll likely find her practicing handstands, cuddling with her dog or hiking.

This class is where we really start to work on your inverts! We will work on leg hangs, shoulder mount prep, Superman, and overhead pushing strength for things like handstands and butterfly. Tricks will require more advanced grip, and will involve increased challenges to your coordination and strength. We will also start to build basic combos, and strength training will focus on preparing you for aerial inverts.

When is it time to level up?
When you can easily enter all leg hangs (from a chopper) and have your butterfly on both sides. You should have a basic shoulder mount from the floor and be ready to start aerial choppers. If you meet all these requirements EXCEPT your shoulder mount, you may also attend our Level 2.5 and up classes!
